My last novel, 'Partners' starts in those very same Cypress Hills. Of course there was no Fort Walsh at the time (1866)just whiskey traders who's presence eventually caused the arrival of the Mounties.
I don't know which way you're headed but if it's back toward BC my next book, available in about 2 weeks takes place around Calgary.
